SAFER INTERNET DAY #SID2022

Today is celebrated as Safer Internet Day under the motto ‘Together for a better Internet’. In this edition of #SID2022, the goal is to make the Web a safe place for children and young people. This international movement, promoted since 2004 by the European Commission and the INSAFE/INHOPE network, focuses on protecting digital rights and needs and creating a safe technological space in which to participate and share positively and freely.

This initiative is an event that takes place worldwide with actions to promote the safe use of the Internet. There are numerous activities offered in our country as well to celebrate #SID2022. The National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) will offer free workshops on cybersecurity and privacy on February 8 and 9 via Zoom. All these workshops are aimed both at educational centers and the general public. The agenda includes topics such as trust circles on the Internet, scam detection, risks and frauds on social networks, protection of our digital identity, as well as identification of risks in online stores, emails, SMS, and fraudulent calls.
